Wooly Mammoth Ivory

"Cute necklace Sheila, what is it? Bone?" "No, its actually Mammoth."

Yes, giving this answer might cause someone to think you've gone off the edge but if you purchased your necklace at Occulter, than you could very well be wearing a necklace made out of Wooly Mammoth Ivory! Seriously! Isn't that the coolest thing you've ever heard? And almost unbelievable that a jewelry retailer could get their hands on them? Granted you really do get what you pay for. Example, take this Yiksa Breastplate for $9,300.00. Still, I would think that Wooly Mammoth Ivory would cost something like, oh I don't know, priceless? I imagine the limited remains of this grandiose, extinct mammal to be locked away inside a glass counter in a museum rather than being sported by a shirtless model in sneakers.

Because of their massive size and the fact that they roamed lands of freezing temperature, snow, and glaciers, Wooly Mammoth remains were "preserved in an organic state" rather than being fossilized. Wooly Mammoth ivory is comparable to ivory that we are more accustomed to seeing such as ivory from elephant tusks. How great would it be to be able to wear a piece of history made from an extinct beast, one so grandiose and colossal in size? If anything what a great conversation starter.
