KISMET is a collection of both handmade jewelry and vintage items founded by New York designer who has been known as "Merm" for most of her life. Each vintage item in this collection has been carefully handpicked from her various travels to bring you a true piece of history. Like her vintage items, her handmade jewelry has its own story to tell as well. Kismet jewelry and vintage items are inspired from life and most importantly, the people in her life.

I've always been a true believer that everything in life happens for a reason. Every action either accidental or intentional, every person met along the way, every event has brought us to where we are at this very moment. The conception of this line was created when I was at a point in my life where I was unhappy because I knew that I wanted to be doing something else. I had all of these ideas and creative thoughts and projects that I wanted to develop. Finally I just told myself, 'so do it!' Everything in my life began pointing me in that very direction so I listened to the signs that were being sent my way and I followed my destiny. What better name to call the line than KISMET! Especially since the word is derived from Turkish and Persian culture, both of which are a part of my heritage.
